holly Crap! didn't really expect that.

We pay about $900 for two cars, but we live just outside of Dallas, which has some of the highest auto insurance rates in the nation.

I pay $600 per 6 months for a 2010 Malibu and a 2006 Avalanche and 2 drivers. The highest ever was about $1,500 per 6 months for a 2000 Audi A4, 2002 BMW M3, 2004 Pontiac GTO and a 1998 Chevy Cavalier.

Of course, I live in NJ, so it's a rape no matter what.

Too much! I need to renounce my citizenship, and become an illegal, then I wouldn't need insurance.

Precisely the reason my rates are so high.

Sorry, but your rates are dirt cheap, especially for new cars. $900 every six months for 2 cars with full coverage is nothing as it equates to only $450 a car. I recently got a 1995 Mustang GT on Ebay, and had to back out of the deal because of the ridiculous cost to insure it. For 15/30/10 (state limits) liability, and $250 deductible comp and collision it was $700 every six months. I thought this was ridiculous consider I have no tickets or accidents. Because of this, I am stuck with my old Ford Escort which is $233 every six months for basic liability.

or you could just slow down and drive more carefully. that would save on your radar detector investment.

ps. it'll get better once you turn 25. rates will drop.

I'm paying more than $1000 for 6 months because the NC DMV does not recognize my 10 years of driving since they were not in the US of A, Puerto Rico or Canada. Find it pretty stupid, but what can I do.
