Not even a 100% sure what kind of bird this is but this guy was laying in the street on its back near death.

I was able to pick up the bird and administer the bird from water and now the bird is in my garage it may have ate the tuna I'm not sure but it was drinking water I figured out how to give the bird some water by mimicking rain for a gentle fountain.

The bird may have a problem with this wing I'm not sure.

What do you think would be the next best thing to do for this bird?

Looks like a dove to me. Check with a local veterinarian for a local animal rescue group.

Ooh a dove okay. Not a sparrow. I like the bird. It's not able to fly.

We live in a different world.. if I show up to a vet with a bird that MIGHT have a broken wing... what will they do? And how will they be looking at me?

And what vets (I hope AFFORDABLE... that deal with birds) are near Brick NJ?

What do these birds eat?
No hope of domestication ?
Will the vet put the bird down?

The bird will hop around.

The video still is of tuna fish, if the bird will eat tuna fish ? Is available food. Not of the bird .

If the bird is a dove. I like the bird. I like the bird anyway but. Either I want to domesticate the bird, OR make sure bird is okay. Bird was almost dead today on hot pavement I saved this bird.....

Literally.

From 9:15a.m. this morning onward...

9:15a.m.
Found on the street .

Bird will hop and try to fly. If they eat tuna for food...
What should I feed the bird?

It's a dove which is a seed and grain eater, not a meat eater.

Get rid of the tunafish. Wild bird mix with black sunflower seeds.

Best practice: If you have a local wild bird rescue, take it there... if it has survived this long, it may make it.

I am afraid that I can't answer your additional questions. Funny that you mentioned Brick, NJ as I used to have a good client who owned a Petland store up there. Back then I used to raise parrots that I sold nationwide. Doves can become good pets/companions. I used to have a common pigeon that adopted us and was free to come and go as he pleased. He was not kept in a cage. I never hand raised a Dove myself and have not raised birds in almost 20 years.

Give it a bowl for water, not just a wet cold box to sit in. With it's injuries, you want to keep it quiet and warm, not cold and wet and coping with you talking and doing strange things to it.

Best chance? It needs a qualified wildlife rescuer to assess its injuries and treat for infection and shock.

Looks like possibly hit by a car, judging by that injury and the possible broken wing.

Agree, it’s definitely a dove, possibly a mourning dove.

You should get this bird to an avian vet, wether you plan to keep it or not. If no avian vet available, get it to a wildlife rescue organization, preferable one who deals with wild birds. Sooner the better.

Yes, this dove does not need the tuna, seeds are the ticket. And water in a bowl. If it’s well enough, it will drink on its own. And don’t let it walk around in the poop or the pool of water you poured over it.

If you can put a smallish branch in there, it might perch on it.
