Is it just me or has EVERYTHING gone up? I remember I used to spend about $100 grocery shopping for my husband and myself. Now, it's $150!! I don't feel like I buy more stuff. Maybe more organic but I have cut junk food out of the list.

It just feels like EVERYTHING has gone up lately ... going out to eat, movies/entertainment. UGH!

As the price of gas goes, so goes the price of everything that travels to get to the end user. It costs more to ship grain to the cattle ranchers, so the cost of meat goes up, etc.

the price of corn/grains is driving up the price of meat,,,,corn is a major feed for cattle and if its also being used for fuel,,,,the demand goes up,,as does the price,,and ,,evey is correct,,,the trucking industry is the heartbeat.backbone of this country,,,hauling goods everywhere,,and what us to cost,,35-40 cents a mile,,is now,,,65-80 cents a mile,,

for groceries,,,you gotta be a cherry-picker,,start shopping the sale items and stock up,,,,avoid impulse sales,,,go to the store with a list and stick to it,,,,,thiers temptations everywhere and easy to succumb.. dont go to the store hungry and dont bring your kids,,if possible,,

foma,,,the national average is,,that for every dollar spent on food.. 35-40 cents,,,is foodservice,,,(restaurants)

cook more at home,,even if you buy microwave meals,,,much much better than going to a restaurant and dropping 40-80 dollars,,

$150/month on groceries sounds a bit much.

$150 is every 2 week to 3 weeks actually. Is that really a lot? Man, now I feel like a pig!!!!!

I can't kill bambi. I respect that you want but I just couldn't do it! Planting sounds like a good idea though. I've actually wanted to try gardening!
