I'm a Semi Truck fanatic myself so I've made this thread that is a tribute to the Detriot Diesel 8 Series(which is my favorite truck application engine);
I remember hearing a semi going by my place that I could hear coming and going for many miles, it almost sounded like a big block gas v8 with no exhaust considering how loud it was, it sounded great. I've seen a few of these going runaway and run up to very high rpms without control.
And here is what a big truck gas engine sounds like that I think sounds great. Notice the two transmissions. I have driven many grain trucks like these and the gas engine powered ones are my favorites. You have to go straight to youtube by clicking near the top to view it.
