Really hope to get some insights from this group..

We are looking to bid on a Toll Brothers lot in Santa Rita Ranch..

What are the typical "over asking" bid to win? Ive seen some CRAZY information about 4x the lot premium being bid and still lost?

Any help would be super appreciated.

There may be a thread or two from last year about this. I remember commenting on it. Maybe search “toll brothers” to get the details. It was outrageous then, I can’t imagine what it’s like now.

Ahhh, Nevermind. It was Travisso. https://www.city-data.com/forum/aust...-bid-lots.html

Can't believe it has gotten this bad. Folks now have to bid on a postage size lot all the way out in Liberty Hill. To answer the OP question, read the Travisso lot bidding thread for some insight, I imagine Toll brothers will roll out a similar strategy.

Lots are pretty spendy.. like $90k for lot premium.. I hear people are bidding at least double the price of the lot.. sometimes 3x the price to win it.. that is CRAZY!!

Which isn't North Austin, it's 3X further out, northwest of the city, in a town called Liberty Hill which is in an entirely different county, with two other cities (Cedar Park, Leander) separating it from Austin.

I said before and I'll say again, bidding for those homes is ridiculous but who am I to say.

Liberty Hill is absolutely not "North Austin". Not even close. Up until recently it could be considered an exurb.

still is exurban but its growing fast, and the prices up there are outragous.
