I went to Evangeline Cafe for lunch yesterday and really liked it a lot, the fried catfish and shrimp was delicious, the servers were fun and upbeat which made dining out at the restaurant a lot of fun and you walked away full without spending a lot of money, I give Evangeline Cafe a 5/5

Next time I go back I'm gonna try their alligator chicken.

That's probably because Coke and Pepsi are sweetened with high frucose corn syrup. High frucose corn syrup is why cokes don't taste near as good as they did back in the 60's and 70's when they were sweetened with pure cane sugar, and came in 6 oz bottles. Mexican Coke is made with pure cane sugar. It's called Mexican Coke because it's bottled in Mexico. It will have big white label on it that makes it stand out from the regular coke. You can find Mexican Coke in many of the convenience stores around town.

The Maine Root folks as well as others have made some inroads, especially in fast-casual dining. Might be easier to deal with compared to the big boys and adds a touch of cachet to the drink zone.

I went to Cherry Creek Catfish Restaurant on Menchaca just south of Stassney and thought it was a great restaurant, I love how you get large portions of food without spending a lot of money, while I slightly prefer Evangeline Cafe and Cypress Grill a little more than Cherry Creek I consider Cherry Creek to be the best value to quality ratio seafood restaurant I've ever been to, I still give Cherry Creek a 6/5, if it was priced similar to Evangeline Cafe or Cypress Grill I would probably give it a 5/5.

Too bad the Cherry Creek Cafe in Leander closed during the pandemic.

Has anybody gone to Deckhand Oyster Bar recently? I went to the South location, service was very slow as the service was almost nonexistent, plus I got charged $2 extra just for sitting in the lounge (that has never happened before), while the food was great I was disappointed with my recent experience because I always had great experiences at Deckhand.
