Hi Everyone,
I contacted the vet above and they do not do non-anesthetic dental. He gave me a recommendation so I have contacted them to see if they do it. I will let you know!

No luck with his referral. I guess it may not exist in Austin!

Well, if you contact enough vets and ask for it, maybe they'll start offering it!

Try contacting Madalyn Ward. She's an equine vet, but she's who I called when I was looking for a canine accupuncturist (Madalyn had accupunctured my horse), and she knew exactly who to call.

That is true! I wish I could be certified in non-anesthetic dental for dogs I think it would be good business in Austin!

I'm sorry my initial recommendation didn't work out. Hate when that happens! In my search, I did find a lady who offers this service in the Ft. Worth area. If you look at the Links section of her website, there is another company in CA that goes by the same name so, it might be a small chain. If so, they might be interested in starting an Austin location.

Any non-anesthetic pet dental specialists in the houston/austin area? - Yahoo! Answers

The vet recommended in that listing is Dr Falconer, who is a homeopathic quack. He "only accepts a limited number of new patients" per year and has a $250/hr fee. I am a raw-feeding, titering, really holistic and hippie-minded pet owner, and Dr Falconer is too much for even me.

I would love to find a traditional Western vet who does this.

Well, if not, at least others have the benefit of eirenecat's information. Which is likely what City-Data means when they put at the bottom of every single oldish post because they LIKE old posts resurrected:
