It's more than just population alone, but they do look at that. Certain demographics they're looking for. Wealth, average incomes, CSA, etc. What is the Huntsville CSA? Augusta doesn't have a CSA to pull from. Probably Columbia is where they would go closest to that area.

I just looked. Huntsville has a MSA and CSA. It's CSA is 775k, but even more importantly it has an median income of $51,895. That's one of the highest median incomes in Alabama. Just saying. They have stuff that they look at to make sure that they will be successful.

Doing a little more digging. There per capita income is $33,255 vs $17,000+ in Augusta. They look at these numbers.

I don't know Magician. I'm just saying, it takes more than an email asking them to come. I'd love to see an IKEA here where I live, but I understand that it doesn't quite have the numbers yet; although it is adding population at a pretty healthy clip. No slight on any area, but it is what is.

What's your source? The five year estimate is $21,000 and for metro Augusta its around $26,000.

You live in Greenville. So you can't keep telling us they look at these numbers. Then don't acknowledge they aren't looking at the billion dollar worth of cyber development in Augusta. Jobs that pay six figures in many cases.

The per capita is going to increase tremendously. Statistics from the past are irrelevant due to the cyber command.

I'm very familiar with Augusta. I was born in that area and still have family there. Stop with the puffery. The GDP isn't there. Love your city, but don't do this.

If your very familiar then how could you believe the per capita was $17k? A person who's very familiar would have never posted that false information.

Edgefield Cointy is the outskirts of metro Augusta. I think you very familiar with Greenville, but not Augusta.

You don't know me. And yes I am very familiar with it. I have family in the city of Augusta. Those stats come from the census. Do I need to link them for you? Believe whatever you wish. Until it happens it's just talk.
