Unfortunately, the city’s average commute time of 31.4 minutes is five minutes longer than the national average, and while the city’s average cost of living is still below the country’s average, home prices are on the rise.

But Atlanta’s Southern charm, award-winning restaurateurs and reputation as a “city in a forest,” thanks to its “dense tree canopy,” makes it a unique, attractive option for newcomers,

These sorts of numbers based lists are stupid, as evidenced by the results. Chattanooga ranks above Atlanta.

If they had come THIS WEEK with all the dogwoods and azaleas in bloom we would have been number one. AHHH! April in Atlanta!

Atlanta Metro* because it's sprawling. Not everyone chooses to live an hour from their job.

Assuming you work ITP, and the grand majority of the metro does not.

Most of the job centers in Atlanta also just so happen to be nearby or within prestigious and expensive communities where as the majority is unlikely to be able to afford to live close to them.

Atlanta's truest and probably last hope at resolving any logistical issues was recently massacred by the local munapalities literally butchering any chance of expanding MARTA rail.

I don’t like metric based studies in the case. Studies like this one takes away human and cultural(racial) factors on why people pick a particular place to live. Most people live in a place of money and fear of change.

Bogus list. Anywhere in Texas is a rotten place. I lived there previously and was so excited about leaving.
