We all have different priorities. What you want I may call misplaced.

We replaced a kook with a crook.

Ducey is sneaky, it makes him more dangerous.

Aside from that, he's better at PR than many of our previous admins and he did the right thing with KidsCare, the Animal Cruelty Bill, and the Salt River Horses. Other than that I have uniformly negative thoughts.

On the Republican side I was rooting for Scott Smith.

Pretty much agree with this. ^^^

There's never been a gov here with more obvious dark money in his pockets. And, the legislature just made that pot of gold bigger and darker, and for sure he will sign that bill. And, he was all over the five million dollars for the program run by that guy (another Koch connection too, as I recall) who wants to end public education.

Plus, we've fallen for that "run the government like a business" line twice before. Too many people here haven't lived here long enough to remember.

By signing it.

Biggs and the legislature made it clear they didn't want the program on some ideological basis without regard to the people affected. Bearing in mind it's a federally funded program, Biggs made it clear he pays federal taxes and doesn't approve. So 49/50 states got KidsCare and we got people voting against bloat without regard to the residents of the State. Eventhough, we pay for it through Federal tax dollars we didn't get the benefits as a rich guys stand against the Federal Government. Disgraceful however expected.

So yes, Ducey gets praise for doing something he should've always done, but I was surprised he was willing to sign it in the first place. Kind of sad really.

No, he's more of a moderate. So far, he's not been much of a fiscal conservative when he approved a budget that wipes out the surplus & spends $240 million more than the state has. He also signed KidsCare back into law, which is yet another costly federal program that encourages people to be dependent on the gov't. Most of all: he's a staunch proponent of Prop 123, which seeks to pour more gov't money into education. Ducey seems to have better leadership skills than the previous two Governors, but he's not a solid conservative. A truly solid conservative would be opposed to all the above items I listed.

The economy is doing must better in Arizona since Ducey took office and growth and new buildings are popping up everywhere and he is working hard to attract new business. Ducey has also been very careful not to step in any political potholes that would hurt business growth and is really working hard to address the funding issues for schools. I would give him a solid B so far.
I have not heard of any businesses leaving the state and the outlook for Arizona under his administration looks very bright indeed !!!!!
