Go to this link and then select Mountain Village from the list. It will give you a snapshot of the community.
Alaska Division of Community and Regional Affairs

Don't get discouraged from the first couple of responses. They do that to most who are first time posters. You will get some good information on the community eventually, possibly from the same people.

Well, for one thing, Mountain Village is small and it is the home base of Lower Yukon School District. It isn't much of a mountain, more of a hill.

I taught in Mountain Village in 1989. Mrs. Edwards is my name and I would like to know what life became for the students in my classes - Lila? Where are you? Mr. Bean! Where are you? The last time I heard from you - you were in Anchorage, going to school. I heard from your brother Lila...News of any of the students would be very welcome. I think of Mountain Village and their peoples often. Thank you for the replies I might receive.

Mrs. Louise Edwards

Shame on you Warpt. You show a mountain, but no the village?
