Mit,
How did you do your foundations, it looks like you used logs, is this what most do in the Deadman area. I saw that Joes cabin appears to have the same type. I really need to finish getting my pilots license to make it more affordable to get around up there. Still plan on being up there last week of May. Might not make it all the way to Deadman, but plan on spending some time in Fairbanks and do some fishing and look around a bit. I will give you a call once we have more definite plans, I would like to meet you once were there. I appreciate you posting the pictures, its all that I imagined it would be. We asked our pilot friend if he could go out and get us some pictures and he went out last Monday and sent us some pictures and video of my property, its great.

Depends on whether you are on permafrost. Most use a post, but can use pads also.

Well me and a friend went out to Deadman last week stayed for about 6 days. We were the only ones there for the entire week with the occasional plane flying over us. It is remote and you need a satellite phone to communicate but besides that it was great. We flew in and stayed at a cabin on the lake and it was great fishing. The mosquitoes were annoying but applying deet every couple hours worked great. We hiked around the property for several days and we found a clear spot. We started to build the foundation for a cabin but we didn't take enough supplies in with us so we didn't get much done, and will have to do more the next trip. Sorry Tim for not meeting up with you, we were rushing to get supplies together to get out to the bush, we will see you next time we are up that way. Next trip we will be better prepared beforehand, plus we wont spend so much time fishing, lol.

Sounds like a good trip. I still don't have the plane on floats. Need to get it done! See you next trip.

How do I find out the names of the owners of other lots near my property. A friend wants to buy the propertys next to mine if the price is right. Not sure if we are going to make it up there this year. The corona is limiting travel.
