Ports O' Call Village

The Ports O' Call Village is a quaint area overlooking the harbor and featuring pathways, shops and restaurants. The port area overlooks the Port of Los Angeles and is designed like a New England-style seaside village. There are 15 area shops and restaurants. Cobblestone streets connect the buildings in the area and visitors can stroll from store to store browsing the handmade gifts and items from around the world. There are several restaurants in the area, most of which offer seaside dining and views of the harbor. The best part of dining in Ports O' Call is the abundant seafood offered at the restaurants for great prices. Visitors can also purchase fresh fish from the markets in the village. Those wanting to explore the harbor can hop on a cruise ship which takes off from Ports O' Call. Many of the cruises are narrated and include whale watching experiences, so they are as educational as they are entertaining. Visitors can also enjoy sport fishing trips from the harbor. There are stores offering equipment rentals, tackle and bait in the village. Another boating option is a romantic dinner cruise or cruise to Catalina Island. This is a great idea for a date, a business excursion, a family trip or a wedding. The Village also hosts the annual Lobster Festival Event and is located just a short distance from the Los Angeles Maritime Museum.
