Stretching about one and a half miles along the manicured sands of the Pacific Ocean, the boardwalk is a large part of what makes Venice unique. On the west side of the "walk" are hundreds of street vendors and performers. Guests can see everything from break-dancing to broken glass walking. Mimes to musicians, jugglers to jesters and everything in between make up the human landscape. Many arrive on the scene to simply people watch for the day. Guests can have their fortune read, get a temporary tattoo or have their name written on a grain of rice. The boardwalk is the place to go for all souvenirs although due to the tourist nature of the location prices can be elevated.

The Boardwalk also offers a bike path that is populated with local restaurants, skate shops, ramps and more. Venice Beach is famous for the area that body builders work out at. Artists are also on the street performing their expertise for dollar bills. Tips are welcome so tourists should bring along lots of change and bills.
