What a pleasant surprise! While our family was on a wildlife photography trip to the Great Salt Plains in Oklahoma today we stumbled upon this restaurant in Cherokee Oklahoma. It is off the main thoroughfare in this small quaint little town and yet it has survived eight years in business mainly due to not only being the biggest bang for your buck, but by far surpassing the normal small town fare you would normally expect. Even though the food is served on paper plates and plastic utensils the quality of the food is on par with any 5 star restaurant that I have eaten at! Upon entering you are greeted by the owners Doyce and Rachel Hager in their deli style dining room, very down home in decor, almost like being in your Grandmas country kitchen. My first spoonful of soup and I knew that this wasn't any old eating establishment, I highly recommend you make the trip to Cherokee Oklahoma for lunch any Monday thru Thursday, you will not be disappointed!
