Description: The department’s 13 senior centers, most of which are open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, offer classes, games, discussion groups, outings, and fellowship. Call a day in advance to reserve a hot lunch. Four other sites offer adult meals. Call for locations. Some centers feature choral, drama, and tap-dancing performing groups. Fairfax County and City seniors age 55 and older pay half the registration fee for recreation classes, held at senior centers and schools throughout the county.
