Description: Theater and dance—and sharing them with the community—have been integral parts of Florida Atlantic University since its inception. Students, in fact, are encouraged to become involved in the performing arts from their first day on campus. Recent performances have included Art, a play about the complexity of human relationships; an exquisite drama called Talking Pictures, by Horton Foote; a drama called Marisol, by internationally acclaimed playwright Jose Rivera; and performances by the FAU Dance Theatre Ensemble.

Description: This amphitheater is located in South County Regional Park, in west Boca Raton. And it sits in a beautiful setting, with spectacular lakeside views and tropical landscaping. The Sunset Cove Amphitheater serves South Palm Beach County with a variety of productions, including concerts, theater, and other performing arts attractions, out in the sunshine. Recent shows have included acts such as Yes, the famed English group that’s been around for several decades; and The American Kennel Club All-Breed Conformation Show, presented by the Boca Raton Dog Club.

Description: Established in 1991, the Boca Ballet Theatre is today the 6th-largest dance company in Florida, and considered one of the top civic companies in the United States. During this time, the School of Boca Ballet Theatre has educated more than 5,000 young people. It now holds classes for more than 500 people every week—about a fifth of whom are adults. Every year, the company performs 13 times in four different programs, at Florida Atlantic University and at the amphitheater at Mizner Park. The Boca Ballet Theatre focuses on the classics, and recent productions have included The Nutcracker, George Balanchine’s Serenade (set to the music of Tchaikovsky), and Giselle.
