How about SpaceX and it’s upcoming manned launch, not to mention the highly successful test demo carried out a few months ago.

Major US Cities have some very good cultural centres, including concert halls, ballet, opera, music, museums, art galleries, as well as writers and performers.

The US does extremely well in terms of the visual arts including television and cinema, and television has evolved over recent decades due to the likes of HBO and Netflix etc, and the US is still the dominant western culture.

The US is also the major global player in tech, and the internet has helped change culture.

So there are a number of positives.

In terms of leaders, they come and go, and who ever wins in November will only be there for four years and will be a mere footnote in overall US history, as Biden is too old and Trump only has another term should he win.

Thanks to Trump people already seemed to forget about George W. Bush, even though people felt the same way about him back in the 2000's. He was a mere footnote that didn't leave much of an impact. Every country has politics and leaders that cause dissatisfaction of half or more citizens, but it seems in America politics has become a way of life and people are in each others faces about it, and are quick to tell someone to get out if they don't agree. I always thought of America as the "California of the world" where from the outside it may seem groovy, gnarly, or radical (or whatever your choice of word that's synonymous with "cool") but living within it can be a struggle. Since California is in America so it is the epicenter of the Hollywood media culture, and if someone is not a movie star, athlete, or millionaire or fit the mold of what is portrayed by Hollywood, they could feel like they are nothing and be labeled a giant "L".

Anyhow, I always thought if there's a capital of the world, it should be Singapore. Capital cities do not necessarily have to be the largest city, and they are often located in their own individual city-state, like DC.

It's generally pretty accurate, though

How come?! Paris is the most iconic city in the world and the capital of a country with such a rich culture. You can’t compare the Met with the Louvre. Or the Empire State Building with the Eiffel Tower. France puts a lot of emphasis and $upport from
their GPD in culture with free museums, LOTS of free festivals, free education. France is synonym of culture. The USA is just synonym of capitalism which really doesn’t care at all about culture. It’s all about selling. And that’s nyc to me. People mention broadway? The average American can’t even afford to go to a show.

This is pretty much all just your opinion on the matter, not actual fact. You made it abundantly clear that you have a negative opinion of the US and Americans and evidently because of this are incapable of looking past your own prejudices... You can see a Broadway show for the same price as you'd pay to see a movie, haha.
