Hey, we actually managed to get a little dusting overnight. Lets call it 0.5cm. We've been getting flurries and snow showers every day since Wednesday night, but it hasn't really been sticking. This morning's snow melted by about 9am.

Nov: 12cm (5")
Dec: 15.5cm (6")
Jan: 49cm (19")
Feb: 13cm (5")
Mar: 16.5cm (6.5")
April: 0.5cm (0.2")

Total to date: 106.5cm (42")
Normal to date: 143cm (56.5")

Yesterday Anchorage tied its record for second snowiest season ever. Winter is definitely not over there, with 22 inches on the ground.

The following brief interview with a local meteorologist just prior to this happening might be of interest to weather geeks.

OK, I lied. One more update on Valdez. They're at around 295 inches now for the season, so that's about normal.

And check out today's photo of the HS track and field runners in Valdez.

Tie has been broken. It’s been cold in Anchorage recently and they picked up a bit more snow.
