awww, dont spoil the fun...lol. My guy is probably riding the entire system as I type...rolling from car to car, cell phone at the ready...lol. Let him do his thing, you can't stop a rebel without a cause. Eventually, he'll snap the wrong one, get his lip split and that will be that.

Look at all those poor people making less than $50,000 falling out of the train because it’s so crowded.

I hear this lewd music coming along on the platform as I wait for my delayed train in Metro Center, and I see this idiot with his Bluetooth speaker held above his head to make sure we all got a good listen to it. I'd share some lyrics on this forum, but they wouldn't be allowed.

The DC Metro has had a huge problem with not only normal harassment but also sexual harassment for years. So much so, it's had to enact a "campaign" to fight it. Of course, with ridership down over the last year it's not been as bad *as Metro leadership breathes a sigh of relief*, but wait until the numbers pick back up.

New Metro campaign aims to STOP harassment

Lawmakers Call for Metro to Crack Down on Sexual Harassment in the Ranks

Five years ago, they were going to "fix" it.

Sexual violence isn’t uncommon on Metro. Here’s what WMATA is doing to fix that

In 2018 DC had the brilliant idea to decriminalize fare evasion.

D.C. Council decriminalizes Metro fare evasion

https://www.washingtonpost.com/trans...ested-measure/

In this article, WMTA sees a serious problem with this practice.

Fare evasion is a serious issue with a significant overall cost to the Metro system
Metro Still Isn’t Ticketing Fare Evaders In D.C. Amid Ongoing Clash With City Lawmakers

I see it as more of an opportunity for every thug and panhandler in the city to regularly ride the train free without fear of consequences while they harass fare paying passengers.

I was late coming into work this morning, and found that someone decided a little smoke break would be a good thing first thing.

A little more interesting smoking product on the floor right beside that seat as well.

If you're a smoker OP, no worries. It seems the Metro nearly encourages it.

Speaking of smoke:

One Dead, Dozens Hurt After Mysterious Smoke Fills D.C. Metro Car

Get this, years later they are still dealing with smoke issues on the Metro.

Metro service resumes on Blue, Orange and Silver Lines after smoke reported in tunnel

These posts remind me of this lady in our neighborhood who goes up to dog owners, harassing them, screaming that they don’t feed their dogs. She’ll even pull up in her car yelling through the window. I hope she found help.

I haven’t witnessed it but lots of people on NextDoor have mentioned it.
