I know a guy who grows his own tobacco too, it's not that rare.

NBP, I recall that argument for years too, never thought that would be the majority opinion, but here we are.

I know several guys. Most took the tobacco buyout and are growing other things (small grains, chrysanthemums, produce) as their main crops but they still sneak in some tobacco for personal use.

1) Are gummies as effective?
Depends on who you ask, and why they're using it. Personally I've never liked edibles, but mostly because it's harder to control your intake. I'd either get NO effects or way too much! But the gummies can be excellent for pain management, especially if we're talking about CBD (versus THC). I know people who've used gummies to counter the effects of chemotherapy, for example, and they swore by them as an appetite stimulant and anti-nausea.

2) Why does it smell like skink, growing up in the 70's it didn't.
No idea. I wasn't born until the mid-70s, and didn't start using cannabis until the '90s. So it's always smelled that way to me. Higher quality = stinkier, though. Generally speaking. And I know the potency of cannabis has gone waaaaay up since the '70s!

3) Smoking anything is bad for you that has been proven. I'm talking actual smoke into the lungs. So why is ok to approve pot and not Tabaco?
Tobacco is still legal (21+ here in California), so I'm not sure what you mean. Also, for both nicotine and cannabis, there are safer alternatives to smoking... you can vape, chew, or do edibles, for example. I only vape now, which isn't 100% safe or ideal, but still arguably better than smoking. Either way, I think adults can choose what they want to do with their own bodies. Just about everything that's enjoyable is also bad for you, so choose your poison accordingly.

See this is one of my points, by smoking I get second hand effects and don't want it. My rights are ignored.

And the goalposts get moved.

The State is getting ready to tighten restrictions, again, on tobacco use wile loosening up even more on marijuana use.
