So the show is on Thursday nights, right after Ghosts on CBS and last night was the 16th episode. When I checked to see if there was a thread on here about it, my search didn't bring up any. While I do enjoy some of the characters and actors on the show, I don't know that I see it as having a good ongoing storyline if it's renewed. I'm curious if I'm the only one watching the show?
It's cute. It's sort of old school and I enjoy the mother-son "buddy" relationship. I can't remember another show that had a mother and her son as the two leads.
I like this show. I like the banter, but also, I like the...angst(?) between mother and son. The way they display their pride but also frustration with each other...makes me think it's pretty a pretty accurate depiction of mother/grown child relationships.
Plus...I like how Margaret Wright is strong, but vulnerable. Compassionate and kind, but she gets flustered and aggravated. lol And I just really like Marsha Gay Harden.
Agreed. The show requires a heavy amount of suspended reality but it's so entertaining, well-acted and well done that I am sticking with it. Marsha Gay Harden is brilliant.
