Wait. Our crime reporter never posted to tell us it had declined?
Honest oversight, I'm sure.
Living in Providence, sandsonic, do you find that the crime had gone down over the past year? That the Providence PD's effort of getting guns off the streets has paid dividends? You always tell us that the police don't prevent crime, do you still stand by that or have you changed your mind?

Not misleading at all, sir. The thread was posed as a legitimate question, and indicated by the very title that things had at one point "calmed down" over the past year. However, there have been some disturbing incidents over the past few weeks. As a resident of one of the "problem" areas of the city, what is your take on the situation?

Of course it’s misleading. But, if you have a creep crime fetish, you have no interest in downward crime stats. No jollies to be had there.
The first one was at (or very close to) the HARTFORD PROJECTS. "200 block of Hartford Ave". A man in his 30s says somebody tried to rob him, ended up being shot in the leg.
