Could we have a honest and civil discussion as to why 30% of all American men are going to Eastern countries to find wives? According to the current statistics, by 2026 the number will be over 38%.

38% seems high. Where did you get this data?

30% does seem high but some quick Google Fu suggest that the 2010 census reported that 20% were married to foreign born spouse. And somewhere around 30% of immigrant visas, were issued to citizens of Asian majority nations. However spousal visas are not considered immigrant visas. The source does sound it could have come from the marketing for the introduction services with an Asian focus, the thing that we call the mail order bride industry.

CD has a relationships forum and a few others where this topic might be more appropriate.

That's what I was thinking as well. I don't see this at all as a retirement issue.

I doubt that 30% of all marriages, any given year, are American men either marrying women over there or doing a Fiance visa and marrying them here. There were 21K Finace visas issued last year. Do you consider an Indian American man (either born here or naturalized citizen), who finds a wife in India, as an American Man. The same with a Chinese American man. Or is an American man Tommy Schmidt?

Sorry on the phone right now and I haven't figured linking out on it.

A green card is a green card but a spousal visa is considered non immigrant and it is only one of many ways to get a visa to the US. And thus a secondary petition to adjust status to get permanent residence. The most famous being the K-1 with the 90 day count down to actually get married, then to get the temporary work authorization card that used to be green and finally the permanent residence card or go direct to US citizenship

Even if he posted "Eastern", it would be read Asian over on the relationship forum and deleted as they forbid racial discussions.
