Over here, we call the XKE, an E-Type. I can't remember the last time I saw one, they are rare these days.
I did a few more of those videos, and in two of them, there was even someone trying to jam the channel, with first an air raid siren, then a more modern synthesised type of sound. Odd.
Yes the E-type from 1961 to the 70's but the best ones were in the mid 60's with the 4.2 6 cylinder engine. Not very reliable with electrical gremlins and leaks galore BUT a very beautiful car inside and out. Beautiful aluminium straight 6 cylinder engine. Not reliable just beautiful as Enzo Ferrari said, the most beautiful car.
Jammerslol...They are everywhere with music and those air raid sirens with sound effects.
I hear traffic in my local area, but I think much of it is generated by skip and is not exactly local to me (meaning they wouldn't hear me trying to contact them).

Same situation here. In the daytime all I hear is tons of chatter and skip. During the evening nothing local.
Ya mine has FM ...... It sounds so much better than AM,especially when they turn up thier mikes like crazy...It sounds horrible but they dont seem to care!! I kinda would like it if more used the FM mode.... (Sure would have helped in the 80s (People wouldnt have splashed peoples TVs,phones, etc))
Sure. Though limited to a few channels, I've used a low band Motorola Motrac on cb, along with a few friends of mine, for some time. It's alot of fun.
Maybe something new to consider as the current radio I have is from 1980's. I don't use it but if I ever come back I would come back with one of these new SSB/FM radios.
