Towards the end of my teaching career we had a Middle States team in for re-accreditation. The team leader was retired from an urban district in New Jersey.

We were a solidly middle/upper middle class high school (yes, we had our poor kids but less than the average for the school system), 92% Black student population.

We were walking by our Child Development classroom and she remarked that she was impressed we had on-site day care for the children of the students. Except that wasn't was it was, it was a community pre-school that was part of the Child Development curriculum for 3rd and 4th year students to get training in the situation. In fact, none of the preschoolers there were children of any of our students (children of past graduates, yes) but were dropped off by their parents for the pre-school.

She was stunned when I told her that. She then asked what our pregnancy rate was. I didn't know the exact number but it was less than 1% (that we knew of, we didn't always find out).

Again, she was stunned. She assumed with our demographics totally incorrect conclusions.

Oh, she was Black.

Here's the thing-our media and our government want to keep us divided and to pit Americans against one another. One of the ways of doing so is to pit race against race-black against white, white against Asian, everyone against the Jews. But again-the divide isn't by race, by color. It's by...culture. Successful, working, productive blacks and whites have far more in common, and less reason for animosity, than those blacks do with "ghetto" blacks with a criminal record, or those whites do with some urban white fentanyl user. It's no accident that we are being pitted against each other-the government fears the day Americans come together as one people and realize that, for most of us, our own government is the biggest threat we face.

They're slowly getting it. Now replace the world Government with Democrats.
