Yesterday at grocery store a women came up to me and asked if I could give her and two kids a ride home. She was waiting and trying to call her husband to pick her and two kids up at grocery store and he wasn't answering his phone. The lived a few miles from store. I did along with all her groceries she had with her.
That was my good deed for the day.

My wife, mychildren and I treat each other with kindness every day - the good version of Ground Hog Day.
My wife, a son and his girlfriend watched Ground Hog Day again tonight. I met my wife on a Ground Hog day that lasted just one night. Come morning, she was still there!
Hmm... Can't think of anything major for today. Someone on the street called me beautiful in a non-creepy way, and I invited a stranger in the area who'll be alone on Christmas to spend it with my husband and I.
Love this thread idea, I'll definitely keep adding to this!
I made an elderly lady a Lemon Pie. Her smile was worthany trouble I went to.
My BF and I decided 5 years ago to not exchange Christmas gifts but to shop and eat lunch together and pick someone to buy their lunch as well. This year was a lady and her teenage son! When the waitress told her her bill was paid I was watching and she was delighted! (She didn't know who paid.) She left a note on a napkin that said thanks and Merry Christmas! We left the waitress a generous tip too. We don't tell anyone what we do every year.
There was a shopping cart at Aldi with a quarter already in it. We used it and gave it to a lady in the parking lot.
We have no family near us, both sides are scattered around the country or estranged. Postage is awful and we are all at an age where we don't need many things. So in order to get the feeling of Christmas we each chose a tag off the angel tree in our town hall. It gives gender, age, and needs or wants. So a 7 yr old girl got a Baby Alive doll and a 4 yr old boy got a sweatshirt and some Legos and we got to go Christmas shopping and have dinner out.

I get that.
I strongly feel it's better not to talk about the decent things one does for others. That way our motives aren't called into question and the purity of the deed is unsullied.
I gave the guys who do yard work for me homemade rum balls after they helped me get the last of my fall bulbs into the ground (finally!). I also gave them more money than they requested for the work, as a tip. I rely on both of them so much for lots of little things, like turning my whale of a latex mattress (I even named it "Moby Foam", lol), moving my heavy antique furniture, clearing out the garage when it needs it, etc. Sure, I pay them for the work, but I also appreciate their willingness to do it in the first place.
As far as people doing things for me, I went shopping at Wegmans last week after a doctor's appointment. Although the store was jam-packed, everyone was so nice and polite. Sure, it wasn't something done FOR me, but I really enjoyed the pleasant atmosphere and common civility. Heck, I'm easy to please!
