I haven't been following mortgage rates (because I don't need one).

But I have been following CD rates and they have been rising a little since the first of the year. Going from 5% to 5.3%.

I read the other day that the fed could go either way on interest rates, going forward, depending on the inflation rate.

That post was from 3/22/24, almost a lifetime ago where rates are concerned. We are currently seeing rates wanting to go down, but will the Fed let it happen. They definitely did not like the little rally we had about 8 weeks ago and they smacked the rates back up. The Fed is determined to control rates and if that doesn't scare you, it should.
