Oh okay, I guess the OP was all about comparisons between the 2 cities whether good or bad.
I love statistics and always follow those that I mentioned for my own entertainment. If I can come up with something positive with either of the two I will be sure to post back here. Thanks

TRlaura, I AM the OP! LOL

Listen, the Norwood Park neighborhood in Chicago was always one of THE safest neighborhoods, and essentially it still is.

But there was a time in October this year where, for the first time in all my travels going there, I heard gunshots, personally. In a neighborhood where, prior, I never thought I would have heard gunshots.

I'm rather squeamish when it comes to blood. But in this case, I ran up to the guy that was shot, took my shirt off, and applied it to his arm. He was bleeding profusely, and his blood ran down both of my arms.

I did what I could, until the paramedics arrived.

So YES there IS good AND bad in both cities. And it is very unfortunate. We have to be street smart wherever we go. But we have to NOT let it dissuade us from living.... Living in fear is NOT even living, in my opinion.

I am planning to do some garbage cleaning in the Lincoln Square neighborhood in the next week or two. Hey, we need ot bring back "COMMUNITY", even if you are not a resident in the community!!

ManApplet, good morning.

If you haven't had the opportunity, take Lakeshore Drive (HWY 32) between Milwaukee and Chicago.

They both have their mansions on parts of this stretch. Very nice change of pace of travel.

Door historically has winter festivals. Not sure what C19 is causing to close. I'm not mixing it up in that sort of situation until this nasty lil bugger subsides.

I understand Chicago has many indoor places and venues that will be requiring proof of vaccination.

Not sure, yet, if the whole County, or State will be following suit....
