Let's take the biggest city in New Mexico, Albuquerque. Crime is off the charts there. Good neighborhoods, bad neighborhoods, it doesn't matter, it's a very dangerous city. Period.

Tucson. I spent 2+ years there during the COVID lock downs. It has its dangerous areas, but overall the crime in nowhere near the level in Albuquergue. Has a fair amount of road rage incidents (shootings), very little armed robberies. Lots of safe areas like the college area and mid town. I felt a lot safer there than Abq, but trouble could be had in the bad areas for sure.

Little Rock. It really depends on where you are. There's very little road rage, not that many armed robberies, and almost all the shootings are between people who know each other. Either a drug deal gone bad, nightclub altercation, or domestic violence. I feel safer here than in the previous 2 cities, but that's because of the area I live in and travel in. It's the South, which means a large Black population, and since they tend to be the poorest for many different reasons, their neighborhoods are where a fair amount of the crime is.

Little Rock is also a capital city, and historically they tend to be poorly financed and poorly run. The big politicians don't live here, they just work here, so it's not their turf. Washington D.C. is the perfect example of that. I lived there around 25 years ago and it was pretty scary.
Not following on the last paragraph. Capital cities are some of the most prosperous cities in the country. Madison, Phoenix, Austin, etc. Not saying there aren't violent or poor ones, but being a capital city doesn't predispose a city to crime issues. You should visit D.C. Twenty five years ago is a longtime. Gentrification has really changed that city for the better.

To what statistical data do you refer that implies it is black on white crime? That is almost certainly untrue with respect to homicides, which are predominantly (and almost exclusively) between people who have some sort of connection to each other...and I'll repeat what I posted previously in this thread: the homicide rate to date for 2023 is DOWN about 45% from last year, which is a huge drop.

Default there are so MANY indepent references quoting statistics that

blacks commit homicide against whites statistically more than other races. Take a look the site gab, you will find MANY. It's true most murders occur between people who know each other and frequently related to drugs. But blacks commit MUCH more crime than whites, usually it's against other blacks.

So you're saying that you wish New York City had a higher crime rate?
