Jacksonville heading for a White Flight (sales, violent crime, home sales)

The county is the crime capital of Florida, and 70% of violent crimes are committed by Blacks, and yet they are only about 20% of Jacksonville.

Property values are going down, and the local sheriff's office is way under-matched for the amount of crime.

There is a large amount of wonderful Black folks here, and they hate it, too, especially those who own homes.

Someone's bored and looking to debate. None of your claims are backed by stats. There is no "white flight" in/around Jax and as Kyle pointed out, home sales here are still strong.

Lots of baseless generalizations in your post as well. You can do better, try harder if you're trying to make a point.

I cannot be certain as I do not know Jacksonville well, however I suspect it is like many other large cities where the poor (typically black) areas have most of the violence, crime, drugs, etc.
While much of said crime is perpetrated by blacks on a per capita basis, it is also true that most of the victims of crime are fellow black people, who can't afford to get out of those areas.

There are sections of Los Angeles near one of the top private colleges (USC) where the black people own their homes, but must keep the windows boarded up. I talked with several of them asking why, and they said it was to prevent crime, but also to keep stray bullets from killing their family members.
Think about that, these people are law abiding citizens and keep up their homes, yet cannot live a normal life having to worry about the criminals that prey upon them. Most of us love natural light, but those poor people have windows, but can't see out of them.
They do not support "defunding" or "reimagining" police, instead they want more police in their neighborhood to help get the criminals off the streets, so they can get to work, send their kids to school, and go to church without being attacked.
So I suspect Jacksonville is similar with rough sections of town that are not in white areas, thus no need to take flight.
