today with most brokerages offering fractional shares , a split does not mean much anymore .

i haven’t tried buying class A fractional shares as i own berkshire class B and bought fractional shares but i wonder if i can buy class A in fractional like i do class B.

berkshire won’t split the stocks as they want the high prices ..

buffett always felt the high prices attracted the kind of investors he wants .

also mutual funds who are faced with restrictions on how much of a company’s outstanding stock they can own like the higher prices

About 20 or 25 years ago I considered buying 5 shares of BH it was less than $70K per share at that time.
Shoulda, coulda, woulda.

I think Jenson will announce a split at the May 22nd earnings call.

“Nvidia shares on Monday gained more than 2% on multiple bullish analyst calls that highlighted the company's preeminent market position. Several Wall Street firms also increased their price target on the chipmaker ahead of its earnings report, suggesting shares could gain as much as 30% from their current levels.”

I'll make a bold prediction. There are 4 possible outcomes for NVDA earnings:

1. They beat big - shares explode 10-20% higher overnight.

2. They beat small - shares pop 5%.

3. They disappoint slightly - shares fall 5%.

4. They disappoint significantly - shares fall 10-20% overnight.

Even if earnings are good, forward guidance could be weak and force selling.
