Not really. Bettman is a mouthpiece for the owners. So far, the owners haven't really been in much of a rush for the Coyotes relocation, similar to how the owners also don't have much of an interest in the league giving Quebec City another try.

Bettman, and probably the NHL Governors, are still tone deaf. The only thing we know for sure is that the people in Arizona don't want the current team with the current ownership in Arizona. That ownership has failed. I think that with an owner more tuned into the community and one who meets their financial obligations might have a decent chance of success.

I agree with you. Bettman has really botched this entire AZ Coyotes situation.

I would love to see them relocate to Houston. It's definitely a market that could support an NHL team. Has never had one. There was also talk of Salt Lake City, now that Seattle and Las Vegas have clubs.

True, but the Houston Aeros were in the WHA for 6-7 seasons and won a title. Gordie and Mark Howe played for the Aeros.

I guess you could count that because several WHA teams joined the NHL. Good call.
