A family member is a sheriff, and he's aware of the circumstances. I think they are waiting til the services are over and then move on with the business end of it, but I don't know everything. It is family after all, so they could be protecting her.
This a great thing having Sheriff in the family and aware! Couldn’t get a more ideal situation if what you mentioned ends up being true.
I am sorry, too, and it would make me angry as well.
This also gave me chills. My best friend has multiple myeloma, and she takes oxycodone for her pain, and she does her best to space them out so she doesn't get too dependent. Her adult daughter watches her meds carefully for her.
This friend had a cousin living with her who needed a place to stay for a while, and the daughter noticed that the pain pills were going down faster than they should. Sure enough, the cousin was helping herself to the pain pills that her cousin was taking for her cancer.
They confronted her, and she admitted taking them "to deal with her anxiety", which is bs, because oxy is not for anxiety. They gave her two months to find other living arrangements, and she moved out.
But your story creeps me out, because what if this one had done the same thing and switched the good pills out for fentanyl? I never even thought of that.
My wife has severe anxiety and she became addicted to oxycodone when doctors pushed them on any and everyone. She used them strictly for anxiety. Luckily she was cut off when government stopped it all.
Incredibly, this was just Valium for her anxiety. Not even a drug that I would consider worthy to sell on the street, but hey, I'm also not a shopper, so I'm a total innocent that way.
Apparently the pills were stamped and made to look exactly like the "original" so you can't tell. I take Xanax for anxiety every now and then, and now I'm afraid to take one of my own!
But after a few days, I would have settled down. There’s a new injustice happening every day, and we all need to try to not dwell on things we can’t control.
I hope someone gets that girl turned around. I feel badly that if she gets sober, she will need to deal with what she has done.
A good time for a reminder to NEVER take pills not given to you by a pharmacy.
I can say, if my daughter stole my pills, I would not send her out to procure me a replacement from drug dealers.
MANY fake pills are manufactured and contain fentanyl. This is a drug so potent, that a few grains can make it a deadly dose. They are manufactured in dirty conditions and without exact measurements, cross contamination JUST from the machine can result in a lethal dose.
