oh course not.....

I had to read it all to see what you selectively left out

1/3 of Florida's money is federal....yet, Florida shows a huge $billions surplus of money

1/3 is consistent with what the other states get.....the ones with a huge $billions deficit

Here's the kicker, the real selective part is what the OP presented. Where did the money come from? and from whom??

I know critical thinking is difficult for most...just trying to do my part and help

Florida had a $22 billion surplus.....subtract $9 billion....a $13 billion surplus

a $13 billion surplus on it's own...which is still better than anything else out there....LOL

Only clown here is you. DeSantis criticizes Biden yet accepts the funds from the bill his administration passed (American Rescue Plan)even in the face of heavy republican opposition he then turns around and takes credit for it as if the money came out of thin air.

This nonsense only works in floriDUH…it’s why he NEVER had a shot at winning a general election, most people aren’t dumb enough to fall for his politics.

MAGA Republicans Voted “No” – But Kept Taking Credit for Historic American Rescue Plan Dough

Republicans promote pandemic relief they voted against

https://apnews.com/article/personal-...880faf15d5dea3

Every Republican in Congress voted against the sweeping pandemic relief bill that President Joe Biden signed into law three months ago. But since the early spring votes, Republicans from New York and Indiana to Texas and Washington state have promoted elements of the legislation they fought to defeat.

MAGAs clearly think normal people are as dumb as they are

This explains a lot about your type:

By contrast, a majority of Republican voters in 2022 had no college degree (63%);

Our gov't gets its $ from its citizens (or by printing more of it).

The big diff in Florida is, our gov't takes less money from its citizens, & in this case, even gives some back, or further reduces its taking.

Americans are fleeing other States who take too much $ from its citizens, & move to States who don't...like FLA.

It's not just Florida's weather that is attracting great wealth from highy taxed Northern States. You'd think those States (NY & CA especially) would apply some critical thinking to stop the exodus of its most prized citizens. These 2 States have lost Billions in taxable income to FL & TX...their tax & spend policies have failed.

FL & TX are crushing NY & CA, & DeSantis & Abbott are crushing Newsom & Hochul DeSantis just turned up the heat on them w/ this $1B tax deal.

democrats tagged a whole bunch of liberal BS on to that bill.....things that had no chance of passing on their own

....that's why republicans would not vote for it

does not matter.....every state gets ~1/3 of it's budget from the Feds......they are all on equal footing

Florida gets 1/3 and it's budget is way ahead of the rest of them

Read the fine print, I like DeSantis/voted for him but this isn't earth shattering.

The tax discounts have already been in place (school supplies/hurricane supplies)

This one is probably a bulk of the money:

The measure also requires that insurance companies provide a 1.75% deduction of the total premium charged on all residential property policies and on personal or commercial flood properties.

Yet it really means very little to the average homeowner. If you have a $5000 premium and they knock 1.75% off its $87.50 in savings. That's like getting a free tank of gas and a McValue meal.

But a buddy showed me yesterday his spreadsheet on his homeowners insurance
2016- 2200
2017- 3400
2018- 4000
2019- 4600
2020- 5100
2021- 5400
2022- 6000
2023- 6600

He sold the house, moving to Tennessee. Same value house and the insurance is $1800 a year. Taxes are 1/3 of what he pays here, car insurance is 1/2.

So if Desantis gives back 1.75% who cares its pennies on the over charge (but I'd agree its a start)
