Can we get more creative with the propaganda? None of these are effective at discouraging people from moving here

My guess is one day they will have to implement a state income tax.
Why? Floridas budget couldn’t be doing any better

Only four types I see who would deliberately consider beginning a teaching career in Florida's public education system:

1). The Desperate.

2). Those with zero experience in the field.

3). The Naive.

4). Locals who want to live with parents/relatives to keep housing costs low.

I don't see any issues here in Florida as a result of new Teacher pay.

1) DeSantis just increased new Teacher pay 20% from $40k to $48k in 2023

2) FLA's elementary school ranking is 14th nationally, which is fine for a State that gets a lot of of ESL immigrant students

3) FLA's ranks 5th in overall Teacher workplace environment

4) FLA'S cost of living + taxes are < nearly all the States that pay new Teachers more, so disposable income's similar.

5) Rankings include data from other states that may not be accurate, or provide sound comparison's.

6) Parents have the right to move their child to the best performing Elementary schools here since FLA has school choice.

7) Elementary Education isnt stopping people from moving to FLA as FLA ranks at or near the top in inbound domestic migration

8) Some State's that rank higher have sky high taxes, & are losing population in droves, & have huge pension deficits...they overpaid. NJ & CT both have grossly underfunded pensions, so their Teachers retirment plans are a dumpster fire

Why? To who? That’s fairly standard for teachers starting out.

Starting Teacher pay is just 1 piece of the overall Teacher compensation & satisfaction index.

Opportunity for advancement, cost of living, taxes, how well funded Teacher pension plans are, must also be considered.

Some of the States that pay more to new Teachers, have grossly underfunded pension plans...like CT, NJ, MA, & IL, while FLA's is 80-90%:

https://equable.org/unfunded-liabili...plans-in-2023/

Florida ranks 5th overall in best places to be a Teacher, on BOTH these lists:

The amount of my coworkers from Northern states that I have with school age kids has risen during Covid and after. I guess they don't care about this news. Note: They typically still find a Charter, A-District School, or private. They are not coming down to Florida broke.

Not sure what else they can do... Raise sales and property taxes very high? One day the state will be very crowded... It's not as big as Texas or California.... Real estate prices have already shot up... What happens when importing people isn't as easy?
