Trump wants to impose a "Muslim Ban" on Day One. I don't think that is very inviting to Muslims.

One consistent question remains - why doesn't Hamas release the hostages? A cease-fire would be easier to negotiate if this took place.

The whole world is angry at Israel and we are all sickened by the carnage. Hamas is using this to their advantage. They couldn't give two piasters about the people of Gaza. Hamas set up headquarters underneath hospitals. They are the lowest of the low.

I'd rather see protests against Hamas than against Israel. Remember who started this conflict in the first place.

As far as Trump winning. Some see it as it as the only way to force the Dem leadership to understand they mean business.
Right now Muslim Americans have leverage in that they can threaten to not vote for Biden. And they are using that leverage. Politics and for sure DC is all about leverage and making deals. They are going to want to have assurances for their vote. They get nothing out of simply leaving the top of the ticket blank.

But to shoot themselves in the foot and allow Trump who clearly would be far worse in regards to foreign policy in that region for them, for the next four years at a crucial time where the fate of many in that region is in doubt. No. That is just wishful thinking on your part. It makes much more sense to push an administration that at least has a sympathetic ear then one that won't even listen to them.

As I mentioned upthread, they will threaten, threaten, threaten until the last minute, then if the puppet masters decide that they really need those votes, they indeed will make a deal, bribe, gift, tit-for-tat, whatever you want to call it.

Yes, that’s how it works, and all this techno-warlord MIC spending is no different.

We don't just need a Muslim ban, we need to stop allowing so many anti-American, anti-Western Islamists into this country on student visas.

The whole world's mainstream news media are angry at Israel. There are many ordinary people who support Israel's right to defend itself.

Even the Muslim Arab countries in the Middle East quietly admit that the Gazans went too far and deserve the harsh punishment they are receiving. If they had left the Israelis alone, this war wouldn't have happened.

The protests happening on U.S. campuses appear to be funded and supported by highly organized groups manipulating gullible students. Most Americans, from what I've seen, are expressing disgust with their behavior, particularly the reports of Jewish students and faculty being prevented from campus or even threatened with violence.

As for why Hamas doesn't release the hostages... it's unfortunately, tragically clear by now that most of them are already dead. Hamas itself is now claiming they don't even know where a lot of them are. Probably were hidden in many different places, and quietly tortured and killed. The hostages released a couple of months ago reported gruesome sexual assaults and torture. Unfortunately, we must assume the worst at this point.

And as for whether Israel will stop: they simply won't. Biden Admin. trying to "sanction" that single IDF brigade for what they claimed was abusive behavior went down in Israel like a lead balloon; leaders from across the political spectrum condemned Biden, and he was forced to retract the threat.

The lesson is simple. Don't poke a sleeping lion.

Yes.

And they will come home to the Democrat Party in November, as they always do.

They'll have to go with the lesser of two evils. But ultimately, they aren't a significant number in the votes. This is more partisan dirt-kicking to make a cloud than anything relevant.

That stretches the bounds of common sense. "Punishing" someone by making things worse for yourself and the people and things you care about? "I'll show you, buddy -- just watch me punch myself in the face repeatedly."
