New York had an amazing police chief and mayor. Infer what you will from that.

Thanks to all!

Baltimore may indeed be on the verge of becoming a great city again, but this has happened before, and fallen flat.

Crime, corruption and the municipal motto of, "That's too much like right!" drive many people away.

A dysfunctional Police Department is no help, either.

New York made the turnaround, Baltimore is not beyond hope.

The human experience is magical. Don't discount Baltimore. It fascinates me that forgotten souls can truely create a new experience for future generations. Baltimore has many sins, as many if not all American cities, but we sure try to deal with it. Our foibals are only short-lived whereas the progress the city has made will be recognized in future generations. Thank God for the folks of Baltimore and every American city. Those that stay truely BELIEVE in a future.

Unlike the pics of the Downtown harbor, which are rarely seen.
This MOST of Baltimore unfortunately. I know most folks don't go near these areas, but let's get real.
