Alabama is about 40% black, so there should at least be the possibility of having roughy 40%, or two, black representatives. Even if a person is a staunch segregationist, why waste time fighting the inevitable, not to mention what's fair? I'd like to think that blacks in Alabama would elect representatives that reflect their needs better than some from other states who are in Congress today.

Uh, no, not 40% black. No state is that high. The closest is Mississippi at 37%. Alabama's about a quarter black, so 7/4 ~ 1.75 which rounds to 2, hence the redistricting. If it were 40%, 7*.4 = 2.8 => wanting 3 districts instead.

LOL.....
Alabama is 26.8% black. Waiting for a Hispanic District, a Jewish District, a Moslem District, A Oriental District, Native American District, after all, they all think alike right?

I mean if you're talking about rugs and vases or a train somewhere, sure.

The difference is that while these groups have experienced prejudice it has not been on the same scale that black people in the USA have experienced it. The other issues relate to the size of the group and the fact that the republican establishment in Alabama would make sure there were no majority black districts if they could help it. They would draw the boundaries so every representative would be a republican. The Supreme Court told them they couldn't do it. The legislature wouldn't listen, so the courts did it for them. That's how it works in this country. Maybe the legislature won't be so stupid next time.

7 of 10 most dependant states are Republican. We're number ten. We get $1.80 back for every dollar we put in. Cali gets 65 cents back for every dollar, but sure let's just hoard power and let them burn. That'll teach 'em.
Not anymore :

"..new study found that California has moved off the list of donor states and now takes in almost exactly as much in federal payments as its businesses and residents pay in taxes."

California no longer pays more to Washington than it gets back, study finds

Your link is from 2020 (and behind a pay wall, so I can't read further), mine is from this year. Alabama is in no danger of falling off the welfare list.
