In terms of the bolded area, here are some businesses in the neighborhoods, which includes a mix of restaurants(needs to be updated a little bit): https://westcottsyr.com/business/
there are some other private, Christian schools in the area like Abundant Life Academy, Baldwinsville Christian Academy and Word of Life Academy also in Baldwinsville.
You can also check some of the other threads in the Syracuse forum for more information.
I may add more, but this can give an example of areas with similar types of homes you are looking for, with some walkability or walking distance to some things and with demographics that you are used to/looking for.
It is and it is arguably the most affluent in the city.
I will say that the 13224 zip code on the East Side is a solidly middle class, above average educational attainment zip code that is about 36% Black, with the northern portion being predominantly black(Salt Springs). A you can find black judges, dentists, other professionals and it spills over into DeWitt, with some going with the charter/private options I mentioned above. For instance, here is a picture of the state championship Football team at Christian Brothers Academy, which is in that general area: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php/ (it is coed)
I dare say that 13224 is one of the best options in Upstate NY for a middle class black family looking for an area with a substantial black population that is generally middle class.
So, this is why I say that this area of the city is a good option for those looking for a middle class area with a substantial to quite high black population with a high educational attainment. This is also the case for the eastern half of the Salt Springs neighborhood to north of Salt Springs Road.
Keep in mind that it has been like this for decades and isn’t a new occurrence.

OP, 13066 is the best zip code. Then, I would pick 13078 or 13104. If you must have diversity, then 13224 or 13210 or 13057 are very good choices. Liverpool is decent as well.

This is very subjective. Some may say 13104(Manlius) is the better zip code in the Fayetteville-Manlius SD. 13066 is Fayetteville, btw. 13078 is Jamesville and is a more diverse zip code in relation to the OP.
13057 is East Syracuse and while there is some diversity(and increasing), it isn't even one of the more diverse suburban zip codes. If we are talking strictly suburban zip codes, 13090, 13041, 13215 and 13088 would be up there is terms of having more diversity. 13211(Mattydale) and 13120(Nedrow) are also up there, but are more working/middle class.
13210 is a mixed bag due to having its share of off campus college students and it has some public housing in its northern portion. It's southern half or so is generally nice though(inc. Berkeley Park, Outer Comstock, etc.).
I'd say behind 13224, 13214 is next in terms of having a decent black percentage and is generally middle class. It is adjacent to 13224 to the east and is more into the town of DeWitt, but also covers parts of the outer East Side of the city.
Sedgwick is in 13203, which is also a mixed bag. Strathmore and Winkworth are in 13207, which again is a mixed bag, but does have a high black percentage(about 38%) and there is a black middle class presence in parts of the zip code. 13206 is Eastwood and small portions of DeWitt. The South Valley is covered by 13207 in its west third/half and 13205 in its eastern half/two-thirds(13205 extends into the northern half or so of Nedrow(cdp)).
I'm also curious if this is a matter of Syracuse being the the only option the OP is looking into.
