Not really concerned about them losing vendors. I was there last year and I noticed repeats of the same vendors in different buildings. It's not like there are a thousand unique vendors, more like 2 or 3 hundred vendors repeated over and over.

So long as you arrive soon as it opens or shortly after, traffic and parking difficulties are minimal. Arrive late you better off staying home then waiting in nightmare traffic with no where to park.

Basically...The vendor aspect is really just a remix of a lot of the same or similar things. Not saying that they aren't worth trying in terms of say food, but yes, there are a lot of vendors that offer things that are similar.

Good point on the arrival. I actually went last year for the first time in a while and it wasn't bad due to getting there early. I dare say that if it is raining, that is also a good time to go, as long as it isn't too heavy.

Will there even be a State Fair this year? I know last year due to the outbreak in NYC and Long Island as well as people in the hospital locally as well so there was a cancellation of the fair because the people didn't want anyone traveling and spreading the virus upstate.

It looks like there is a possibility of it coming back, but it is likely going to be a wait and see game.
