I found this NY Times article amusing "Syracuse's Mayor Miner irritates Cuomo over State of the Cities", but she has a very good point! I said the same thing when I heard of the Gov's pension plan proposal to push pension costs into the future. I don't support cities going to Albany with hat in hand asking for money every year as the Gov. noted, but kicking the can down the road is not the answer either.

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/01/24/ny...ties.html?_r=0

On Tuesday, in a speech to the Legislature, the governor said there would be no bailouts for municipalities, stating, “We don’t have the money.” A few hours later, Ms. Miner took aim at the governor’s budget, saying it raised “more questions than answers.” She was particularly critical of a new proposal allowing municipalities to push their pension costs into the future — the second such state plan in the last half-decade — saying that it amounted to continuing to kick the can down the road, and asking, “Isn’t this what got states like Illinois in trouble?”

I hope this skirmish does not jeapordize any recently announced projects proposed within the City, i.e. Loguen Crossing and/or the inner-harbor.

Can't say that I have, but it is in a good location and everytime I've gone by it, the complex seems to be very quiet.
Here is the website: Charter Oaks Apartments | Spacious Designer Apartments

Nice to hear from you, by the way.

Thanks, I had a question but really only for someone that has lived there.

I've been super busy with my house I officially moved in last weekend and turned over the apartment! I have painted 2 rooms, one ceiling, bought furniture, packed, moved, unpacked, etc lol. My fenced in yard is one of my favorite things! My dogs finally got to enjoy it today with the 60 degree weather. They don't like snow at all lol. I've got lots of projects swirling through my head and am looking forward to more work on my house

This isn't too bad and there isn't any water accompanied with it.

Sitting in my truck waiting and the radio says 50 mph. I think anything over 50 is gratuitous.

One interesting thing I seen at the pharmacy. NY has some new laws concerning hydros starting February. That should do three things

1. Cripple the economies of most upstate cities.

2. Empty out hospital waiting rooms.

3. Increase the already considerable ammount of herion here.
