I looked it up, and it's $6.5 million, just under a mile from us on the lake. It has 4 bedrooms and 4 baths, 3,30.7 sf and .27 acre lot, with multi-boat ready dock and private boat ramp. No, I would not buy it, because we are old, and when we sell in a few months we are looking for a rambler or ranch all one level, smaller and larger lot. Currently we have 3,000 sf and 2/3 acre, value only $1.5 million.
$7.5 million, and no. I don’t need a 10k-sq-ft house, and if I were going to spend that money (haha), I’d want beachfront. Unfortunately the beach is 9 miles away, so nothing there qualifies.
Well, asking price is asking price, not necessarily what they'll get for it. The top price property here is some sort of lodge and associated outbuildings on 76 acres. It's been on the market for years.
Keeping an eye on 76 acres and outbuildings would be a chore and if you don't pee on your boundary stones on a regular basis the other less ethical types around here tend to take advantage.
No interest in buying any of the 2-3 million+ residential SFH properties. Yes, they have glorious views but along with the view you'd get an ostentatious eyesore that screams "Look at ME and my MONEY"! No thank you!
There are likely more expensive ones within 5 miles but they'd be "farmettes".
