Some other homes some just came on for sale. FIRST HOME IS A called in the Listing.
TRULY A UNIQUE BRICK QUEEN ANNE STYLE CAPE COD on a double-wide Chicago lot (50' x 125').

I will use some of the Listing write-up.

The main floor offers a large Living Room with a separate formal Dining Room, 2 Bedrooms with a full bathroom. Hardwood floors throughout the main level! Fully updated kitchen with newer quartz countertop. Original woodwork! Second level dormer...offers huge Family Room with soaring cathedral ceiling and wood burning fireplace! Also, master bedroom suite up with private full bathroom completely updated (2021)!

Full basement offers potential for more finished space and walks out to the yard. Zoned hot water heat with separate air handlers for central air each level. 1st floor A/C (2022). New windows throughout (2020)! Tuck pointed out in 2021! New tear off roof 2015. Double lot provides great outside space with a huge yard, swimming pool and front porch. Updated copper pipes. New water service just installed. 2-car Garage. Near shopping, parks and the expressway.

- GREAT to see older homes loved and giving upkeep and upgrades for generations to come over just seeking new. It is admirable that so many maintained their forever homes.

Built in 1941.
1,900 sq/ft.
- SELLING PRICE - $429,900.
No Last Selling Date so probably long time forever-home owners.

These homes are more WELL-BELOW $400,000 as unfinished basements lower value, especially, no garage or even just a 1-car garage does too. Aspects of TLC like repainting walls etc. they may have that lower pricing.

Built in 1938.
1,159 sq/ft.
- SELLING PRICE - $375,000.
Last sold in 2010 for $169,575.

A Pretty home on a standard Chicago lot right on that mark of 25' x 125', though this one has a side alleyway and back alley as these alleys go thru the city. Its walls and flooring are all Upgraded looking sharp some original features kept.

The living room has a corner gas-fireplace and a nice upgraded white cabinet kitchen (not new cabinets but painted white and still work) with brown-tone granite tops along with a sit-down bar newer kitchens have. There can be room perhaps for a small island to add?

It has its radiant (regular radiators) heat. All upgraded bathrooms and THE BASEMENT IS NICELY FINISHED with parts having the rafters exposed painted dark-brown like for the gym/computer room.

A nice size grass yard with a nice deck to a 1-car garage from the alley. This is a fairly compact home with the basement adding that extra room as another story to this home.

The Listing PHOTO OF THE HOME - shows a Cape-Cod looking home a side alley.

This home JUST CAME ON LISTING I first saw it just 22-mins on. Cute 1940s home some unique features. A REAL WOOD-BURNING FIREPLACE w/gas start as a heat source is city natural gas.

The Listing has this to say.
A fabulous addition of the Kitchen completed approx. 20 years ago by Airoom that included an open concept kitchen with newer stainless steel appliances, 42 inch wood cabinetry.

Great family room features a wood burning fireplace with gas starter. Open dining room area too.

The full basement has a 1/2 bath, side by side washer/dryer, workshop area, bar/rec area too. A great sized outdoor deck. A natural gas line is installed on deck for easy grill hookup. A newer oversized 2 car detached garage can easily fit 2 cars & added storage. Just a few blocks to the L Blue-Line Jefferson Park transit and bus stop.

Built in 1949.

This home is a MID-CENTURY that did get some great upgrades, but unfinished basement lowers value. The Redfin Listing has this today. The LOWEST-PRICE point I listed, but a lot of extras and computerized features of new homes.

The full, unfinished basement features tall ceilings w/drainage system, sump pump, sink, and washer/dryer. Technology meets comfort with wifi-enabled CO/smoke detectors and thermostats, allowing you to monitor your home, even while away. The expansive lot provides plenty of room for outdoor recreation and entertainment. Located close to public transportation, the expressway, shopping, and restaurants

Built in 1949 so a early one with the new 1950s Mid-century style.
1,122 sq/ft.
- SELLING PRICE - $330,000.

We live in a county comprised almost entirely of very small towns of under 1,000 people; and within five miles of us, the only residences for under $400,000 now listed for sale are apartment-style condos without a water view. However, the nearest large town to us (pop. about 10,000) is about 20 miles from us, and it now has 29 single family homes listed for under $400k, including ten to-be-built homes, with an average price of about $300k, in a new subdivision; however, these homes are smallish (about 1,250 s.f. on average).

I will post some homes I find interesting. THE FIRST I REALLY LOVE WHAT THEY DID TO THIS 1920s Bungalow. Great choices and keeping its original woodworkings and floors. The upstairs area is a whole Master Bedroom sweet.

THIS HOME ABOVE THE $400,000. Just IMPRESSED with the Upgrading.

Built in 1929 by the Listing. Public Facts read it was 1923 ( big gap).
2,485 sq/ft.

- SELLING PRICE - $549,000.
Went Contingent w/continue to show a few days.

This home is called - A CLASSIC OVERSIZED ENGLISH BRICK AND LANNONSTONE TUDOR HOME. These in various designs can be found throughout Chicago among Bungalows, (just the Bungalow is far more numerous) and some full blocks of these. 5-beds, 2.5 baths. 1-car garage w/alley entrance and shed in back.

The Kitchen is super interesting in how its ORIGINAL CABINETS were still kept and looks great as a country retro kind and the decor adds to it by owners. Bedrooms have hardwood floors. The Living room a ratty carpet and a couple other rooms. Full Finished basement. A Interesting home that as of my posting was still for sale as on for less than a week.

In my Denver neighborhood—Berkeley—scrapers on a 6250 sqft lot go for $900K and up.
Some will be subdivided and each side of the new duplex will sell for $1.4M.
If a single family house is built, then $2.3M+.

In the City & County of Denver this is your only choice at $450K.
