ugga, I had at first been astonished that he was even charged.
The evidence that the jury heard, though, was pretty clear he went into the crowds several times over a period of time looking for someone he thought he could legally shoot.
At first glance this story looks like a ride share driver who got a little lost, took a wrong turn, and then was overwhelmed by the crowd that surrounded his car.
That wasn't the case. The evidence shows he went looking for someone to shoot.

If you are ONLY focused on the 5 minutes preceding this shooting, you can conclude that. If you are focused on the entire picture, what he was actually DOING there, what was his intent, then you have to see it differently.
The very flip side of this, this is the exact same thing, IMHO, with battered women. If LE is ONLY focused on the 5 minutes before she kills her husband, she often looks completely guilty. If you step back and look at the entire picture, the motivation and intent, she should be found not guilty very often.
This is the opposite side of that. Backing up and focusing on his intent here, he's guilty of murder, IMHO. And in the minds of the jury.
(But yes, once he placed himself in a situation where he had no option but to shoot someone, well, there was no option but to shoot someone).
I just scanned the article but it seems that Perry dropped off a uber rider and then his car was swarmed by an angry mob and Foster pointed the rifle at Perry who then exited his car to find Foster and Perry shot him?
I wonder what would have happened to Perry if instead of shooting Foster he instead in a fit of Fear from the mob that was blocking his car floored it and ran over Foster?
I don't know why these angry mobs are even allowed to form because nothing good comes from them.
I saw one on the news last night were idiots were stopping cars, holding up signs and banging on the windows. Oh yeah I'm sure that you people that are protesting for Trans Rights are going to change minds by scaring drivers. We should be allowed to drive through these morons.
If Perry had done that he wouldn't be going to prison.

In Texas, you're allowed to wander around downtown in a crowd with a rifle. So there's that.
Well, its absolutely clear what the far lefts war plan is. Rightie, rnc, gop better step up spending on them DA positions, and or righty needs to flee all crazy lefty zones.
