Only took 40 years.....don't want to rush these things. What does the city really have against Maguire's? Here's a guy who wants to spend a fortune on unusable land. They block him every way. Can't say I blame him for suing and I hope he wins. Ithaca has some serious issues with how they run things. They have laws and they don't even follow them!

You'll get no argument from me about your opinion. Sometimes people have pie in the sky wishes for how things should work out instead of being realistic about how the economics of the world works.

Many leaders in Ithaca forget that they really are a small town that grows in population by 30,000 COLLEGE students for 8 months or so of the year. They frequently forget about the tourism they have. They also have this crazy idea that they're a big city like Rochester or Manhattan. They frequently seem out of touch with reality. I think some of them are off in la la land. They never seem to address the REAL problems Ithaca has. And there are problems. It's not all unicorns and rainbows.

Ithaca is a really beautiful micro-city.
Too bad it can't get enough of deeply sniffing its own smug butt for a day, otherwise I might like to live there.
That said, I'm glad it's doing well. It's definitely a gem in this generally rusty region of NY.
