I wast picturing some kind of rainforest theme; something like tall indoor trees, plants, vines, raw wood looking furniture, maybe artificial grass. And I don't just mean a decoration here and there, but a room that actually feels like a dark, dense jungle, kind of like a Rainforest Cafe, but "better" looking. I did some searches, but most pictures I see just have rooms with a bunch of ordinary house plants scattered everywhere, which just looks cluttered and disorganized to me.

Do you guys know of a site that sells things like this, or maybe some examples that were designed by interior decorators? Trying to get some ideas here.

Call it crazy or childish if you want, but I've wanted to try something like this for several years.

Consider starting off with a photographic wall mural of rainforest. Then pick colors out of that to coordinate the rest of the room. There are quite a few sites offering murals. The less hokey ones tend to cost more. Just one:

Remember, the more dried plants, grasses, and soft "decor" the more dust the room will tend to collect. Can be a pain to keep clean, especially if you are prone to allergies.

I couldn't help but post this when I read your description. The original:

To give it the actual atmosphere you want, you would have to address the walls and floor.

Walls are easy, with tons of palm-patterned wallpaper out there:

This motel in AZ has a jungle-themed room:

How far do you really want to go with this? What function do you want the room to have? Bedroom? Rec room?

Lots of inspiration here. It all depends on your home layout and your budget.
Lots of natural woods, natural stone, exotic plants, pictures, photo-wallpaper or murals, perhaps exotic birds? Green as the main color. Rainforest sounds.

I don’t like themed rooms. But if I were doing this, I’d look into wallpaper for jungle themed wall coverings.

If you envision a dark room, you will have trouble finding plants that thrive.

If you find the right wallpaper, you can key simple furnishings to its colors. With so much wall pattern, your furnishings would need to kept simple. But you don’t have to paper all four walls.

Yuk, I wouldn't want any critters crawling into my bed...

It seems it is a desire of lots of folks to live or stay in a junge/rainforest themed room.

I laughed out loud at the Gilligan's Island photo. Funny! The Skipper looks like he is too late for the bathroom, Mr. Howell looks like he got a whiff, and Mrs. Howell looks like she usually does, not knowing what is going on. LOL.
