Idk if you have completed it in the last 4 years or not, but I'm doing the same thing. I'm rolling with artificial plants, a tapestry, fake moss and 2 floor lamps that look like trees. Temu has a LOT of this stuff. Between Trmu and Hobby Lobby, I got everything I needed for around $300 total

To give it the dark under the canopy affect, use green lighting. Very inexpensive way to give the affect you're looking for.

Don't envy you keeping all the fake foliage dusted, particularly the moss! That's one nice thing about a photographic wall mural. 2D doesn't collect much.

Putting that mural up almost ended our relationship.

Ah. So, I guess you can appreciate what it would be like trying to put one up all by yourself, right? BTDT. While it did look great in the end, the air in my second bedroom was probably tinged blue with a scent of brimstone for quite a while.

OP.....try Googling "urban jungle decor." You'll get some stuff from Pinterest and other sources. Some basic, some over the top, but I'll bet you'll get some inspiration there and can find a good balance.

I've seen mural type jungle wallpaper too that someone had on one wall of a large living room. That might help temper having to keep multiple plants healthy and alive. A nice green wall might help, too. Good luck. Would love to see pictures when you get started.

EDIT: oops..didnt realize this was a 4-yr old thread. :/
