Odd comparison; one charging station to a gas station that usually has a minimum of 4-8 pumps.

Also this...

Electric-car charging stations are becoming more common, but there's still one huge problem: Tons of them don't work

"Catching up" maybe, but very slowly. They are always talking about the number of chargers, and comparing top gas stations, but each charger is good for one car at a time and takes as long as two hours, and only at the 72% of them that actually work. A typical gas station has 6-12 pumps that take just 2-8 minutes even my 36 gallon tank. To truly catch up they would need a number of chargers equal to the number of gas pumps, not stations.

I own and love my EV but this is very true and accurate. Misleading clickbait.

Other than the Tesla chargers, most of the chargers are always out-of-order.

Any original thoughts associated with this article? Are you arguing with yourself?
Other than Tesla, the public charging network is skeletal.

Did you read the ‘original points’ in the article? Are you arguing with yourself?

You haven’t posted any ‘original thoughts’ here either.

I posted an interesting article in the OP.
I posted a second interesting article to follow some other banal comments that didn’t evaluate the salient points presented in the second article.

Recognizing myself as a ‘lay’ outsider to the technology, industry, and its economics, what sort of ‘original thoughts’ do you suggest I can / should contribute beyond what those authors, better informed than I am, contribute?

You want an ‘original thought’ from me? Okay: all technology, including both ICE and electric power, and everything derived from the use of both …. is anathematic to the essence of human existence. …. But therein I digress.

… back to the reality of this emerging technology
