In year 1900 the state of California was less than one percent Hispanic and the country as a whole was far less than one percent Hispanic.

In 1965 the US was 90% White. Today, 58% White, by 2042, 50% White.

In the years 1971–1991, immigrants from Hispanic and Latin American countries made 47.9 percent of immigrants (with Mexico accounting for 23.7 percent) and immigrants from Asia 35.2 percent.

It's not just California or the US. Less than 50% white: Canada 2036, US 2042, France 2060, England and Germany 2066.
Since 2014, the most common baby name in England has been Muhammed (or slight spelling variations).

I think one of reasons is blacks migrated to the WWII war effort jobs in the Los Angeles area and settled in neighborhoods in South Los Angeles.
